Beaver Hill Farm

Location

Kimberton, Pennsylvania

Begun in the early 1800's and modified over many years, Beaver Hill Farm had begun its conversion from working dairy farm to Chester County horse property when our clients acquired it as home for a family matriarch and east-coast family respite for her daughter and her young family from California. The first order of business was to reconstruct the approach to the property reconnecting the house to lawns and affording dramatic views along a new sweeping entry drive. A new pavilion addition provides for family dining and activity extending from the kitchen and surrounded on three sides by a generous loggia raised on a stone base. The base houses guest quarters, office and a manager's apartment extending into extensively renovated existing basement areas. A variety of modifications throughout the house ranging from new bathrooms to improved finishes, positions the property as a fine home for family and entertaining.
